The ample room available in the cabin and luggage space is a key feature of all ŠKODA cars. The Rapid Spaceback is no exception, and is able to carry up to five people with ease. With an interior width of 1,428 mm and plenty of legroom in the rear seats, the Rapid allows four adults to travel in comfort even on long journeys. The 384-litre luggage compartment volume can be expanded to an incredible 1,349 litres with the rear seats folded down.

All the seats in the Rapid Spaceback are comfortably firm. The front seats have exaggerated side bolstering to provide the driver and passenger with ample lateral support while cornering. The outer rear seats are ergonomically designed for maximum comfort of the two passengers. If necessary, however, enough space can be found in the back for three people to travel in comfort.

The 60/40 split fold-down rear seats significantly increase the interior variability of the car, which can be further enhanced with a Simply Clever selection of accessories.

Simply Clever ŠKODA vehicles include storage areas for a variety of items of all sizes. One of the biggest is a large-capacity illuminated glove box in front of the passenger seat, which is even capable of keeping drinks cold thanks to an A/C vent (if Climatronic is present). The rubbish bin placed in the front doors means you don’t have to worry about how to dispose of rubbish on long journeys. Storage pockets on the sides of the front seat backrests are designed to keep your essentials safe and within reach. Finally, the parcel shelf shortage point allows you to insert it behind the rear seats.

The boot space, an already impressive 384 litres, can be increased to 1,349 litres by folding down the rear backrests. There is additional storage space under the floor of the boot for the spare tyre. The everyday use of the boot can be enhanced with additional accessories, such as a net system that prevents the shifting of smaller items. Of course the boot includes a parcel shelf, fastening elements and lighting.

One of these accessories is the plastic boot tray with a raised edge (10 cm), which keeps the luggage compartment spotless and prevents it from becoming soiled.

A practical solution is the storage point for the parcel shelf behind the rear seats, preventing it from taking up more space than necessary when you need to carry tall items.
