Standard equipment includes a wide range of safety features, such as ESC (Electronic Stability Control) including ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), six airbags and multi-collision brake. The curtain airbags are fitted as standard and create a wall when activated to protect passengers in both the front and rear from potential head injuries.

The Rapid contains a series of practical Simply Clever features and accessories that become invaluable tools, ready to use at any time.

The standard features include a multimedia device bracket to hold a phone, a removable rubbish bin in the door paneling holder, storage pockets on the inside of the front seat and a ticket holder on the windscreen.

Accessories, such as nets and plastic trays for the boot, can further enhance your storage needs. From day to day use, right up to an emergency, the Rapid is always prepared.​

The ample room available in the interior and luggage space is a key feature of all ŠKODA cars. The Rapid is no exception, and is able to carry up to five people with ease. With ample interior width and plenty of legroom in the rear seats, the car allows four adults to travel in comfort even on long journeys.

The 384-litre luggage compartment volume can be expanded to an incredible 1,349 litres with the rear seats folded down.

The Rapid Spaceback is fitted with proven modern technology, including a Multifunctional Trip Computer that not only displays helpful information, such as average fuel consumption, vehicle status and gear recommendations, but also includes audio and telephone functions.

In addition to maintaining speed, cruise control enables you to increase or decrease speed using the controls on the side of the left hand stalk.
The 5" touch screen Swing radio has an SD card slot and USB with MP3 and WMA compatibility, as well as the ability to play/stream music via Bluetooth®. The Rapid is offered with 6 speakers, equipped with ŠKODA surround sound – developed with leading audio brand Arkamys®.

Volkswagen Group Technology Sharing the very latest in Volkswagen Group technology, the Rapid assures quality and value. Both petrol engine variants offer exceptionally low fuel economy - the 81TSI engine is complemented with a 6-speed manual gearbox, delivering a combined fuel economy of 5.0L/100km*; whilst the more powerful 92TSI, complimented with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, remains frugal with a remarkable combined fuel consumption 4.9L/100km*.

Modern turbocharged engines with direct fuel injection – petrol TSI – achieve lower fuel consumption while retaining the driving dynamics. Thanks to the turbocharging, they have ample power in low rpm, where the engine is used for most of the time. In the lower rpm range, the engine is also quieter and features lower fuel consumption. Direct fuel injection enhances the efficiency of burning fuel and contributes to lower fuel consumption.
