The Fabia offers six airbags as standard across all models: driver and front passenger airbags, front side airbags and curtain airbags. The Rapid Spaceback is equipped with six airbags: Driver and passenger front, side and curtain airbags. Should an impact occur, large-volume airbags activate in conjunction with the front seat belt pre-tensioners. This will anchor you in the middle of the seat and cushion you to reduce injury.

Fabia and Rapid comes standard with a touch screen radio with proximity sensor. Fabia features 6.5” Bolero radio with SmartLink smartphone connectivity and Rapid comes with 5” touch screen Swing radio with possible upgrades as part of the packages.

The 3-spoke multifunctional steering wheel allows full control of the Bluetooth® phone and audio streaming, as well as the control of the trip computer functionalities and vehicle status.​

The Fabia range features ​twin dashboard storage compartments. The lower compartment illuminates when opened and when C​​limatronic air-conditioning is equipped, the compartment can also be cooled. The centre console drinks holder is accessible from both front and rear for added convenience. Further storage pockets are situated on the front seat backrests and rear door panelling. The flexible storage compartment is a handy feature to ensure belongings are kept stationary whilst driving, as well as the folding hooks on both sides of the boot to conveniently hang shopping bags.

The Fabia and Rapid is offered with two Volkswagen Group turbocharged petrol engine variants that are lighter and more fuel-efficient than previous generations. The Fabia delivered a 66TSI engine, complemented with a 5-speed manual; and the 81TSI, equipped with a 7-speed DSG Automatic. The Rapid hosts the 81TSI engine with a 6-speed manual; and the 92TSI with a 7-speed DSG Automatic.
