Featuring Volkswagen Group technology, the Octavia Scout 4x4 is packed with innovative features that make every journey safer, more intuitive and more enjoyable, no matter where you’re going.

Lane Assist technology

Lane Assist^* technology reduces the likelihood of your vehicle veering off the road or accidentally crossing into another lane. Using a camera positioned within the rear-view mirror unit, it actively recognises lane markings and takes corrective action by gently steering you back on course. The system is also equipped with a warning tone and message in the multi-function display for situations that require additional actions from the driver.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)^

Now standard on Octavia Scout 4x4 range, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)^ is an extension of the conventional cruise control system with advanced capabilities based on a radar sensor located on the front grille. With ACC activated, the vehicle automatically brakes and accelerates to a speed and distance set by the driver. The dynamics of the ACC system can be individually varied by selecting one of the driving programs from the Driving Mode Selection.

^Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) cannot replace the driver’s attentiveness. The driver is still legally responsible for the vehicle and must monitor the speed and distance in relation to other vehicles. The ACC system should not be used on winding roads or in adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain.

6-speed DSG

The highly advanced 6-speed DSG transmission with electronically controlled clutch and gearshift pre-selects the next gear, so gear changes only takes 3–4 hundredths of a second. It means virtually no interruption to power, traction or acceleration – and a beautifully seamless driving experience.

Advanced Keyless Entry Including Smart Start

Advanced Keyless Entry Including Smart Start^ can be added to allow the driver to lock and unlock the car and start and stop the engine without having to insert or even handle the key. As long as the key is within 1.5m of the sensor, the system will work, and a number of simply clever features ensure you can check the lock, preventing you from locking the key inside and preventing unwanted access.

Driving Mode Selection

Driving Mode Selection^ allows the driver to adapt the Scout's behaviour to their driving preference or needs. Four driving modes are available: Normal, Sport, Eco and Individual (Individual allowing the driver to configure their own settings). The car will then adapt the engine torque, accelerator sensitivity, power steering, headlight control (where AFS is fitted), DSG transmission, and air conditioning to suit the profile selected.

All-Wheel drive technology

The Octavia Scout 4x4 features all-wheel drive technology, including the latest generation, electronically-controlled, multi-plate 4x4 clutch that adjusts to changing road conditions in milliseconds. And with underbody protection and elevated ground clearance as standard, the Octavia Scout 4x4 is able to tackle challenging conditions – an everyday car that demands to be driven everywhere. One look at the Octavia Scout 4x4 and it becomes clear it is a family car built for all seasons.

Automatic Parking Assist*

Parallel and bay parking is easier than ever via Automatic Parking Assist^. With the press of a button, the system will search for a parallel parking space. When a suitable space is found (the car's length + 60cm), the car steers itself whilst the driver controls the pedals. Park Assist will steer the car out of a line of cars and with two presses of the same button, the car will search for and manouevre into a bay parking space.

If the driver notices a risk that pedestrians, other vehicles or objects could be damaged or if they are uncertain of the risk, they will need to react accordingly and stop the vehicle, ending the function.
