Freedom is being keyless
Want to lock or unlock the door, start or stop the engine, all without using a single key? Introducing KESSY (Keyless Entry Start and Exit System) available as standard across the range. The driver is still required to carry the key to the vehicle with them, but only needs to operate the door handle or the hatch of the boot and the vehicle will unlock automatically. Starting the car is completed in a push of a button, located on the right of the steering wheel.
Rough Road Package
The rough road package, provided as standard with the Yeti 4x4 Outdoor, provides protection from mechanical damage (e.g. contact with road imperfections or flying debris), and prevents dirt (dust, sand, mud) from getting into the engine bay or into cables. The package also significantly enhances the ability to cope with the light terrain, thanks to the bespoke springs and shock absorbers.
Intelligent All-Wheel Drive
With its intelligent All-Wheel Drive, the Yeti 4x4 Outdoor is equipped for all conditions. A finely tuned drivetrain with a 5th-generation Haldex clutch deals with even the slightest change under Yeti 4x4 Outdoor's wheels within milliseconds. Under normal conditions, the Yeti 4x4 Outdoor is like a regular front-wheeler; in mud or snow it turns into a 4x4, with greater control and safety, without you noticing it.
Good Traction (Dry road)
Under normal conditions, most of the power goes to the front wheels.
In conditions of poor surface traction for All Wheels
On slippery roads, the intelligent drivetrain system with 5th-generation Haldex coupling will distribute torque between all wheels within milliseconds.
In conditions of poor surface traction for the Front Wheels
Yeti 4x4 Outdoor's drivetrain helps you handle situations even when there is no grip under the front wheels by distributing up to 90% of torque flow to the rear.
In conditions of poor surface traction for the Front Wheels and the Left Rear Wheel
Even when driving conditions become extremely tricky, you can still stay calm – the Yeti 4x4 Outdoor can dedicate up to 85% of torque to just one wheel.
Ready for adventure off the beaten track? A simple press of the Off-road button switches all assistance systems to a special off-road setting. Once engaged, the accelerator responds less sensitively, while the Auto Hold feature helps the vehicle out in tricky situations. The Hill Descent Control uses sensitive braking to maintain a constant speed descending steep slopes. With one less worry, you can concentrate on picking out the best path to follow in challenging terrain.
*Included in Off‐road Pack as an optional extra
Rear-view camera*
Enjoy easy parking with the rear-view camera, as standard across the range. It is automatically activated when reverse gear is engaged. Combined exclusively with the Bolero and Amundsen infotainment units, the system uses their displays to show the space behind the car and to indicate the driving line, based on the vehicle width. The camera is always supplied with parking sensors and can be combined with the second-generation Automatic Parking Assist (included in the Tech Pack).
*Safety technologies are not a substitute for the driver's responsibility of the vehicle.
