The Volkswagen Group technology behind the DSG (direct shift gearbox) is a world first. Using two clutches and two sets of gears, the DSG transmission intuitively selects your next gear, whilst you’re still driving in your current gear. When it’s time to shift, the change takes place in 0.03 seconds so it delivers a seamless shift without a loss of power.

Our manual transmissions are notable for their shift patterns with short, precise throw.

The 110TSI Ambition and Style are available with Volkswagen Group's 7-speed DSG and the Style 110TDI is available in 6-speed DSG. A 6-speed manual transmission is available on the 110TSI Ambition.
